 Das Modul Z-FTPcopyII stattet das Backup Programm Z-DBackup oder Scheduler Z-Cron mit der Moeglichkeit aus, ein Archiv oder eine Datensicherung auf jedem FTP-faehigen Server (mit der RFC 959-Spezifikation) zu kopieren. Voraussetzung ist ein FTP-Server mit ausreichendem Speicher (vielleicht kein Windows-Host). Konfigurationsangaben fuer das Z-FTP-Copy sind: die IP-Adresse fuer den FTP-Server, ein gueltiges Login und eine serverintegrierte Pfadangabe, wo die Daten gespeichert werden sollen. Das Modul Z-FTP-Copy ermoeglicht die Nutzung von heterogenen Speicherumgebungen ausserhalb des Backup Netzwerks als Datensicherungs-Medium.
Das Programm ist ein Kommandozeilen Tool, d.h. es wird ueber Kommandozeilen Parameter gesteuert . Das ermoeglicht eine zeitgesteuerte FTP-Uebertragung mittels des in Windows integrierten Taskplaner oder mittels Z-Cron. Z-FTPcopyII wurde eigentlich als Erweiterung fuer Z-DBackup konzipiert, kann aber auch als eigenstaendiges Programm zur schnellen und einfachen Uebertragung einer Datensicherung auf einen FTP-Server genutzt werden.
Nach dem Start von Z-FTPcopyII ohne Parameter wird das Hauptfenster dargestellt. Von diesem Fenster aus koennen Dateien oder Verzeichnisse auch im direkten Dialog kopiert werden.
